Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, February 26th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.
Junior women’s basketball player Siedah Williams will host the show, which will air on the same day as the last women’s basketball game in University Hall. The program will feature highlights, analysis, and exclusive footage from the men’s basketball team’s games against Boston College and Clemson. The show will spotlight junior women’s basketball player Tara McKnight, whose father was a golfer at UVA and now plays professionally, and former UVA great, WNBA star, and Olympian Dawn Staley. Also included is a look at the men’s lacrosse team and women’s basketball highlights from their game against Georgia Tech.
