GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Virginia freshman Lyndra Littles (Washington, D.C.) has been named to the 2006 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman women’s basketball team, the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA) announced on Tuesday.

The 6-1 forward earned Honorable Mention honors. As a reserve, she’s netted double-digit scoring 11 times and double-digit rebounding seven times. In the win over Wright State, Littles recorded her first double-double of 16 points and 10 boards. She added her second double-double with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds in the win over Marshall. He third double-double came in the 92-41 win over Yale where she notched a career-high 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. In the upset win at No. 18/23 Virginia Tech, Littles paced all players with her fourth double-double of a career-high 19 points and 12 boards. Against Longwood, Littles paced UVa with a career-high 20 points and 10 boards for her fifth double-double. Overall, the frosh is fourth in team scoring with 9.4 ppg while grabbing a team-best 6.6 rpg.

The No. 9 seed Cavaliers will tackle No. 8 seed Boston College in the first round of the 2006 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. Tip-off is set for Thursday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.
