Special Edition of Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, March 5th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.

Mac McDonald, the voice of the Cavaliers, will host the show, which will air on the same day as the last basketball game in University Hall. The program will feature a special collection of U-Hall memories from former players, coaches, and fans, as well as a tribute to UVA basketball legend Ralph Sampson. The show will spotlight senior guard Billy Campbell, who will be playing his last home game on Sunday. Also included is a look at the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams’ games against Syracuse and women’s basketball highlights from their final game in U-Hall and the ACC Tournament.
