Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, March 26th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.

Senior men’s lacrosse midfielder Matt Poskay will host the show. The program will feature highlights and analysis from the women’s basketball team’s NIT games against Miami and Pittsburgh, as well as the story from the #1 men’s lacrosse team’s big game against Johns Hopkins. The show will spotlight Tom Hagan of the baseball team and recap their weekend series against Wake Forest. Also included is coverage of Virginia football’s NFL Timing Day and a Commonwealth Challenge update.
