Greensboro, N.C. – Men’s lacrosse player Ben Rubeor has been chosen Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after leading the Cavaliers to their first conference win of the year with a 15-5 victory over No. 3 Maryland last Saturday (April 1) in College Park.

Rubeor tied a career-high with four goals, including three in the first half. The sophomore attackman led the charge with a pair of goals in the first seven minutes of the game as UVa built a 5-0 lead. Rubeor, a native of Towson, Md., scored on three of his first four shots while finishing the game with four goals on seven total shots.

Rubeor and the Cavaliers are back in action as they travel to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Saturday, April 8, in a game slated to start at 2:00 pm.
