COLUMBUS, Ohio – Virginia junior golfer Leah Wigger shot even par 72 for the second consecutive day to finish ninth at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. Wigger’s 72-hole total was 6-over 294. Her finish marked her second consecutive top ten outing at the NCAAs. She was runner-up at last year’s event.

Wigger started the tournament with a 4-over 76 and was in 46th place after the opening round. She carded a 2-over 74 during Wednesday’s second round.

Wigger’s performance was her tenth top-ten outing this season in 11 tournaments. She now has 17 top-ten finishes in her career.

USC’s Dewi Schreefel took medallist honors at 2-under 286. Duke claimed the team championship at 15-over 1167. USC was second at 25-over 1177.
