Von Borsig Finishes Sixth at Palmetto Amateur

Charlottesville, VA – Virginia sophomore men’s golfer Conrad Von Borsig continued his fine play this summer by recently placing sixth in the Palmetto Amateur. Von Borsig posted a 72-hole total of 3-over 283 at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. The tournament took place June 29 to July 2.

Von Borsig shot 2-over 72 during the first round before climbing near the top of the leaderboard with a second-round 5-under 65 that included six birdies. He shot 73 during the final two rounds.

Earliter this summer Von Borsig placed second at the Kenridge Invitational held at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville.

A rising sophomore from Swarthmore, Pa., Von Borsig was named to the ACC’s All-Academic golf team as a freshman.
