CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – – No. 3 Virginia wraps up its exhibition schedule when the Cavaliers host VCU Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Klockner Stadium. Admission is free. Virginia is coming off a 2-0 exhibition win over Georgetown Wednesday.

Against Georgetown, sophomore forward Yannick Reyering and junior forward Matt Ayotte each scored a goal and the Cavaliers out-shot Georgetown, 21-3. Freshman midfielder Jonathan Villanueva, junior defender Matt Williams and senior midfielder Drew Harrison each had assists for the Cavaliers.

In the recent Soccer America Preseason Poll, UVa is picked as high as No. 3 nationally. The Cavaliers are preseason No. 4 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and No. 6 by College Soccer News. Virginia returns 10 starters and 17 letterwinners from a 2005 squad that posted a 12-5-3 record, finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Third Round.

The Cavaliers will open their regular season Fri., Aug. 25 when UVa hosts Davidson in its first game of the Virginia Soccer Classic.
