Virginia field hockey student-athlete Lindsay O’Bannon has been selected to participate in the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association’s Division I Senior All-Star Game, as announced by the national organization today (Oct. 23). The game will take place as part of the festivities at the Finals Weekend, held at Wake Forest University, on Saturday, Nov. 18.

O’Bannon, a striker for Virginia’s nationally-ranked offense, has already tied her season-high for points with five goals and one assist. A two-year starter for the Cavaliers, the Midland, Va. native led the Cavaliers to victory against South Region-rival No. 19 Richmond with her first career hat trick on September 27.

Virginia, ranked tenth in the latest national polls, is ranked eighth nationally in RPI while playing against the nation’s fifth-toughest schedule, according to fieldhockeycorner.com. The Cavaliers are slated to play No. 4 Duke on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Durham. Game time against the Blue Devils is 1:00.
