CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – – Season tickets are now on sale for the 2007 Virginia baseball season. The Cavaliers will play a 56-game regular season schedule, which includes 34 home dates at Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Stadium.

General admission season tickets offering grandstand seating as well as seating on the grassy hillside is available. Prices for general admission season tickets are $100 for adults, $75 for youth (18 and under), seniors, faculty and staff. Single-game general admission prices are $6 for adults and $4 for youth, seniors, faculty and staff.

“Our team appreciates the support of our fans,” Virginia head baseball coach Brian O’Connor said. “Season ticket sales play an important part in our continued success in helping establish our program among the elite in the nation.”

The Cavaliers welcome 2006 College World Series participants and Atlantic Coast Conference foes Miami and George Tech to Charlottesville in 2007. UVa also hosts Maryland, NC State and Duke in ACC weekend series. In-state foes, VMI, VCU, William & Mary, James Madison, Richmond and George Mason will also travel to Davenport Field for games in 2007.

Virginia has posted three consecutive 40-plus win seasons with three straight trips to NCAA Regionals. The Cavaliers have hosted the Charlottesville Regional two of the last three seasons.

The Cavaliers, who went 47-15 in 2006 and set school records for wins, home wins and Atlantic Coast Conference wins, open the regular season for a second straight season in a tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 9-11. Virginia opens its home slate with a 13-game homestand, beginning Feb. 13 when Longwood heads to Charlottesville.

Fans interested in reserved seats can call the Virginia Ticket Office to have their names put on a waiting list for 2007. If reserved seats become available, the ticket office will contact individuals from the waiting list. Season ticket holders with existing plans will receive invoices within the next week. They can also renew their seats online.

The UVa ticket office is open Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 800-542-UVA1 or online by clicking on the links below.
