CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – – – The Virginia wrestling team (5-6, 1-1 ACC) will travel to Athens, Ohio for two non-conference dual meets Saturday. The Cavaliers wrestle against Ohio (13-6) at 11 a.m. and Ashland (7-5) at 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center.

Virginia enters this weekend 5-6 overall in dual meets. The Cavaliers are coming off a 25-9 win over Virginia Tech in Richmond.

Sophomore Eric Albright leads the Cavaliers having compiled a 24-7 record this season. He is ranked 16th nationally at 133 pounds. Redshirt sophomore Rocco Caponi is 26-7 at 184 pounds. He ranks 19th nationally.

Ohio sophomore Jack Frerichs is coming off wins in three of his last four matches and is 4-0 in matches decided by a pin.

Josh Ohl will lead Ashland. Ohl is ranked as the fifth-best heavyweight in Division II wrestling. Ohio’s Marcus Adelman’s eight-game win streak end last Saturday. He is 15-8 on the season.

After this weekend’s action, the Cavaliers will host NC State at Memorial Gym next Friday, February 9.
