GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia sophomore Lyndra Littles (Washington, D.C.) has been named to the 2007 All-Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball team, the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA) announced on Monday.

The 6-1 forward earned Second Team All-ACC honors. Littles leads the Cavaliers in scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.9 rpg). Shooting a team-best 49 percent from the field, the sophomore has tallied 14 double-double performances this season as a member of the starting line-up. Named the ACC Player of the Week twice, Littles also earned Marriott Cavalier Classic All-Tournament Team and Junkanoo Jam All-Tournament Team honors.

Littles received ACC Honorable Mention All-Freshman honors last season. She was also earned the team’s Rookie of the Year award.

The No. 8 seed Cavaliers will tackle No. 9 seed Clemson in the first round of the 2007 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. Tip-off is set for Thursday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.
