The Cavaliers return home Sunday to open a two-game homestand as they host St. John’s. Virginia is looking for its sixth consecutive victory at Klckner Stadium.
About the Cavaliers
Virginia enters the game with a 3-1-0 overall record and a No. 9 national ranking by Soccer America. The Cavaliers are coming off a trip to Dallas last weekend where they went 1-1-0 at the SMU Mi Cocina Classic. After a 5-1 loss to SMU on Friday, the Cavaliers bounced back with a 2-0 win over Tulsa on Sunday.
About the Red Storm
St. John’s enters the game with a 2-2-1 overall record on the season. Ranked in the top ten in the preseason, the Red Storm opened the year 1-2-1 before recording a 1-0 win over Seton Hall at home on Thursday. Last weekend, St. John’s was also in the Commonwealth, playing in Virginia Tech’s tournament. The Red Storm tied VCU and lost to the Hokies in overtime.
