Fourth-year Amy Desjadon has helped the Cavaliers remain in the top-20 nationally, posting a goals-against average of 1.56 and a save percentage of 70.8%. A three-year starter, Desjadon and the rest of the Cavaliers travel to Maryland this weekend to take on the top-ranked Terps. She sat down with Virginiasports.com to share information about herself with UVa fans.

Why I play hockey: I love the skill necessary and the competitive nature.

A brief summary of my early hockey history: I started playing in fourth grade as the center mid, but I blew out my knee my first year in high school after making varsity. I tried goalie-liked it and played ever since.

If I could invite someone to dinner, it would be: Dave Matthewshe’s wordly and I would want to hear what inspires his music.

What do Michele Madison and her staff bring to Virginia?: Enthusiasm and unconditional positivity.

Why did I choose my number? I like looking down and being reminded we always to start at nothing and work our way up. It also makes an outward projection of how many goals they’ll score

My inspirational message is: I want you to put each other in your hearts forever because forever is about to happen here in a few minutes.
