Virginia All-American Emily Harrison earned her second ACC Runner of the Week citation from the ACC after winning the Roy Griak Invitational last Saturday (Sept 29) as announced by the conference. Harrison, who won her second consecutive race this season, beat the second place finisher by 18 seconds. Her time of 20:52 over the 6K distance was more than 30 seconds faster than her time over the same course last season.

Harrison, who earned her first All-American award in 2006 at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, also won the opening race of the year as she helped the Cavaliers win the team title at their own Lou Onesty Invitational on September 8.

Harrison and the rest of the Cavaliers return to action on Saturday, October 13 as Virginia travels to Terre Haute, Ind. to compete at the Pre-Nationals meet. Indiana State will serve as the host of the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the fourth consecutive year.
