CHARLOTTESVILLE — The seventh ranked Virginia men’s tennis team continues its five-game homestand Saturday as it hosts ACC leading Boston College. The game will begin at 5 p.m. after being rescheduled from Friday.

The Cavaliers (8-2-2, 1-1-2 ACC) are coming off a 4-2 win over Florida Atlantic on Tuesday in the first game of the homestand. Matt Ayotte (Midlothian, Va.) scored twice against the Owls, while Jonathan Villanueva (Grand Prairie, Texas) and Jason Kim (Irvine, Calif.) also scored.

Boston College (7-3-1, 4-0-0 ACC) enters the game ranked No. 9 nationally, but are coming off a pair of losses. On Tuesday, the Eagles suffered a 1-0 loss to Providence.

The contest is the fourth all-time meeting between the schools with Virginia winning the first three matchups. Last season, the Eagles got a late goal from ACC Offensive Player of the Year Charlie Davis to tie the game at 2-2, but the Cavaliers won it in overtime on Jeremy Barlow’s (Herndon, Va.) golden goal in the 97th minute.

Virginia’s homestand will continue on Tuesday, October 23 when it hosts Liberty. Game time is 7 p.m. at Klckner Stadium.
