CHARLOTTESVILLE The 14th-ranked men’s soccer team will travel to No. 25 Maryland for a Saturday night Atlantic Coast Conference clash. Kick-off from Ludwig Field in College Park, Md., is 7 p.m.

The Cavaliers are coming off of a 4-0 shutout of Mercer at home on Tuesday night. Second-year Ross LaBauex scored two goals, while classmate Jonathan Villanueva added two assists. UVa is 10-4-2 overall, 1-3-2 in the ACC, and is looking to close out the conference schedule with its first road win.

The series with Maryland (8-4-4, 2-3-1) dates back to 1941, with the Terrapins holding a 33-25-7 advantage. The last meeting was an Oct. 11, 2006 Virginia victory. In that match last season, the fourth-ranked Cavaliers defeated the second-ranked Terps, 3-0, at Klckner Stadium.

Cavalier forward Yannick Reyering continues to lead the ACC and ranks third in the nation in scoring with 12 goals (0.83 per game). As a team, the Virginia offense averages more than two goals per game.

Following Saturday’s matchup, the Cavaliers will have a week to prepare for their regular-season finale, a road game at Wake Forest on Nov. 9. That game kicks off from W. Dennie Spry Stadium at 8 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel.
