HONOLULU, Hawaii Virginia and No. 21/22 Texas meet Friday in the Rainbow Wahine Classic, hosted by the University of Hawaii in the Stan Sheriff Center. Tip-off is 6:20 Eastern Time (1:20 p.m. local time). Live stats will be unavailable for games that host Hawaii is not participating in.

The Cavaliers are coming off of a convincing 80-59 win over Richmond on Nov. 18. Leading all scorers was Monica Wright with a career-high 27 points. Starters Lyndra Littles (19.7 ppg), Paulisha Kellum (12.8 ppg), Wright (12.3 ppg) and Aisha Mohammed (10.8 ppg) are all averaging in double figures for scoring.

This is Virginia’s second meeting with a ranked team this season (No. 14/13 George Washington on Nov. 12). The Cavaliers’ last victory over a Top 25 team was on March 2, 2006, a 57-54 win over No. 25 Boston College.

Texas is 2-1 after most recently dropping a 92-67 contest at No. 1/1 Tennessee. Brittainey Raven leads the Longhorns by averaging 17.3 points per game. Head coach Gail Goestenkors is in her first year at Texas.

The winner of Friday’s contest takes on the winner of Kentucky vs. Minnesota.
