No. 16 Virginia vs. No. 8 Virginia Tech

The Virginia football team is in search of an undefeated home record for the first time since 1998 and claiming a spot in the ACC Championship game when the Cavaliers play host Virginia Tech this Saturday at noon at the Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. Be sure to arrive early for pre-game ceremonies. Here’s a look at Saturday’s game day activities that have been announced.

Game Day Central

9:00 a.m. Cavalier Fan Fest opens inside the Aquatics and Fitness Center (AFC) across from the stadium and remains open until a half-hour prior to kickoff. Cavalier Fan Fest features inflatable games, football skill challenges, face tattoos, sign making and big-screen televisions with action from other games around the country. WINA Radio AM 1070 will broadcast its pre-game show live from Cavalier One outside the AFC

10:00 a.m. All stadium gates open.

10:05 a.m. Cheer the Cavaliers to victory. Join the players in the Wahoo Walk begins from the Clock tower at the corner of Alderman and Whitehead roads.

11:40 a.m. Recognition of 2007 Football fourth- and fifth-year players, Pre-game ceremonies continue

Halftime
Be sure to be in your seat for two special recognitions that will take place in addition to a performance by the Cavalier Marching Band.

Other Activities
Cavman and his horse, Sabre
will be roaming the parking lots before the game and meeting with the fans.

Cavalier Band Tailgate Patrol
members of the Cavalier Marching Band will play in the parking lots adjacent to Scott Stadium leading up to kickoff.

Game Day Programs
take a look at the accomplishments of the 2007 senior class as well as a look ahead at what kind of leadership the 2008 senior class will provide. The Game Day program will be on sale for $5 outside the stadium before the game as well as inside the main entrances.

Fan Patrol
The Virginia Fan Patrol will be scouting the perimeter of Scott Stadium looking for the most spirited Cavalier fans to be featured on Hoo Vision as part of the Best Buy Snap Shot of the Game. The winner will receive a prize courtesy of Best Buy. In addition the Virginia Fan Patrol will be tossing t-shirts to fans after UVa scores. They will also be distributing coupons throughout the game to the most spirited Cavalier fans.

Text your message to `Hoo Vision and participate in a text messaging fan poll during the game. To participate, text “UVA” plus your message to 88398.

Cavalier Team Shop Visit the Cavalier Team Shop locations in Scott Stadium, the John Paul Jones Arena and online at virginiasports.com and close out the 2007 football season in style. This week all fans will receive a 15 percent discount on all football apparel.

TV Coverage
This game is being televised nationally on ESPN2. Dave Pasch (play-by-play), Andre Ware (analyst) and Erin Andrews (sidelines) will call the action.

Radio Coverage
All Virginia games are broadcast on the Virginia Sports Network, originating at WINA/WWWV in Charlottesville. Mac McDonald calls the play-by-play. He is joined in the broadcast booth by former Cavalier great Frank Quayle, the 1968 ACC Player of the Year. Former UVa quarterback Tim Sherman reports from the sidelines.
