Tonight’s attendance was 3,380.

Virginia is 2-1 all-time against Wisconsin and avenged an 84-78 loss to the Badgers in the quarterfinals of the WNIT last March.

UVa is 16-7 all-time in John Paul Jones Arena.

The Cavaliers are 2-0 against opponents from the Big Ten this year, having previously knocked off Minnesota 73-62 in the Rainbow Wahine Classic last week.

Third year Lyndra Littles scored her 1,000th career point in the second half against the Badgers. Littles needed 11 points entering the game and finished with 17.

Littles and Aisha Mohammed both put up double-double performances against Wisconsin, marking the second time this season two Cavaliers have recorded double-doubles. Littles finished with 17 points and a team-best 12 rebounds while Mohammed tallied 20 points and 10 boards. Mohammed and Enong Stovall both had double-doubles in the team’s season opener against Longwood (Nov. 10).

It was the second career double-double for Mohammed and the 22nd for Littles, who also tallied her second of the season. Littles’ 12 boards also marked a season-high while Mohammed has tallied double digit rebounds in four straight games.

Monica Wright, who tied her career-high with a game-best 27 points, scored in the double digits for the fifth consecutive game.

The Cavaliers outrebounded Wisconsin 44-33 and have outrebounded six of their eight opponents on the year.

Virginia plays host to Fairleigh Dickinson at noon Sunday in JPJA.
