CHARLOTTESVILLE The Virginia women’s tennis team will conclude its season-opening four match homestand this week as it hosts a pair of matches at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. The Cavaliers host William & Mary on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Ohio State on Friday at 1 p.m.

Wednesday’s match against the Tribe will be broadcast online by ACC Select.

The Cavaliers opened the season last weekend by splitting a doubleheader. Virginia fell to Marshall 6-1 in the season opener but rebounded to top Richmond 6-1 in the nightcap. Amanda Rales (Bethesda, Md.) led Virginia with a 2-0 singles and 2-0 doubles record on the day. The Cavaliers fell to No. 48 in the latest ITA rankings, released Tuesday.

William & Mary enters the match with a 2-1 record and a No. 15 national ranking. The Tribe is led by Megan Moulton-Levy and Katarina Zoricic, last season’s NCAA doubles runner-up. In singles, Moulton-Levy is ranked No. 12 and Zoricic is No. 83, while Ragini Acharya is No. 55.

Ohio State is ranked No. 50 and is 2-0 on the season. The Buckeyes doubles team of Angela DiPastina and Christina Keesey is ranked No. 33 nationally.
