GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia’s Billie-Jo Grant and Miami’s Ti’erra Brown were selected as the ACC’s Co-Women’s Performers of the Week, conference officals announced Tuesday.

The Arroyo Grande, Calif., native took first place in the discus with a throw of 183’11” at the Hurricane Challenge this past weekend. That mark, which qualifies her for the NCAA Regional meet, is currently the top throw in the ACC by nearly 11 feet and is the top throw in the nation by almost five feet.

Grant also broke Virginia’s all-time program record with her throw. In addition, she took third and achieved a regional qualifying mark in the shot put in Raleigh, N.C., this weekend.

The weekly selection marks the first outdoor honor for the senior All-American, but her second this year, as she collected the weekly honor this past indoor season on Jan. 15.

The Cavaliers return to the track this weekend, hosting Missouri in the Jefferson Dual. The hammer throw is scheduled to begin on Friday at 3:30 p.m. All other events will take place on Saturday, beginning with field events at 11 a.m., and track events at 1:30 p.m.
