Daytona Beach, FL – Former Virginia women’s golfer Leah Wigger won her first professional tournament Sunday in Daytona Beach, Fla. Wigger shot 4-under 212 to take top honors at the inaugural American Systems Invitational on the Duramed Futures Tour. Wigger’s finish earned her a payday of $14,000.

Three weeks ago Wigger was 16th in the Futures Tour’s season-opening Bright House Networks Open.

Wigger, a native of Louisville, Ky., has non-exempt LPGA Tour status this season and will concentrate on Monday qualifying events the remainder of the summer and is not expected to return to the Futures Tour until mid-June.
