BALTIMORE, MD Freshman midfielder Rhamel Bratton has been named to the 2008 U.S. Under-19 national team. He replaces Duke freshman Justin Turri, who was injured in the fall and has been unable to play this season.

Bratton was selected from the pool of alternates that took part in the tryout for the team last July.

He joins current Cavalier freshmen Nick Elsmo, Adam Ghitelman, Bray Malphrus and his twin brother, Shamel, on the national squad.

The U-19 national team will compete in the 2008 International Lacrosse Federation (ILF) Under-19 World Championship from July 3-12 British Columbia, Canada. The U.S. has won each of the five previous ILF U-19 World Championships conducted, most recently in 2003.
