CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior Ashley McCulloch was named to the 2008 WomensLax.com All-American Team on Tuesday. The Cavalier attacker anchored Virginia’s offense this season, putting up a team-best 58 points, dishing out a team-high 34 assists with 24 goals.

McCulloch earned All-ACC honors this season and was named to the 2008 ACC All-Tournament team after scoring the game-winning goal in Virginia’s 10-9 overtime victory over top-seeded Maryland for the Cavaliers’ third-straight conference championship. McCulloch ranks second in the ACC with 1.89 assists per game this season and earned All-South Region honors last week.

In Virginia’s record books, McCulloch finished seventh with 34 assists this year and is currently fifth in the program’s career records with 72 helpers.
