Kyle Riley is in his fourth season as the head equipment manager for the Cavalier football program where he oversees the daily operations of the McCue Center equipment room. He is responsible for the purchasing, fitting, maintenance and repair of all equipment for the football team. He also supervises the staff of student managers.

In addition, Riley coordinates all equipment preparations for football practices and games and manages the needs of the Cavalier football team at postseason bowl games.

Riley came to the UVa football program during the 2005 season when he served as the program’s assistant equipment manager prior to being promoted to his current position.

A 2005 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in communications, Riley began his career as a student manager at his alma mater where he worked with the school’s football and baseball programs.

A native of Birmingham, Ala., he is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
