Charlottesville, VA – Fans are encouraged to return to Scott Stadium for each 2008 home football game with The Power of Orange rally towel they received upon entry to the game against Southern California on Aug. 30.

“I would like to thank our fans for responding to our call to Orange Out’ Scott Stadium last Saturday,” Todd Goodale, associate athletics director for marketing and video services said. “The atmosphere in the stadium was electric. We want our fans to return each week with The Power of Orange rally towel and continue to create a great home field advantage for our team.”

During each home football game, a fan will be selected as The Power of Orange Fan of the Game by waving the towel and exhibiting “The Power of Orange.” The Power of Orange Fan of the Game will receive merchandise and memorabilia from Virginia Athletics as well as a prize from Alltel. At the final home game against Clemson, one of the seven finalists will win a trip for two to the 2009 FedEx Orange Bowl and a 32” LCD-TV!

The Power of Orange rally towels may be purchased at the Cavalier Team Shop locations inside the east and west gates at Scott Stadium for $2 throughout the season.
