CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Virginia women’s tennis team will compete at home for the first time this fall when it hosts the UVa Invitational this weekend at the Snyder Tennis Center. Seven schools will join the Cavaliers at the event, which will run Friday through Sunday.

This year’s field consists of Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Marshall, VCU, NC State, Old Dominion and UNC Greensboro. Each day players will have one singles and one doubles match.

Play will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
