GREENSBORO, N.C. After helping No. 18 Virginia to a trio of wins over Clemson, No. 8 Maryland and Longwood, Lyndra Littles was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 1.

Littles, who missed nine games during the fall semester, collected her second accolade of the season after averaging 23.0 points and 6.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week for Virginia. The senior from Washington, D.C., keyed the Cavaliers to an upset of No. 8 Maryland on Friday night with 30 points. She added five rebounds against the Terrapins in UVa’s 89-81 decision.

Littles began the week with a 22-point, seven-rebound performance at Clemson and she ended the week with a 17-point outing against visiting Longwood, despite playing less than 20 minutes. Littles has hit 18-consecutive free throws, a mark that dates back to Virginia’s game versus Florida State on Jan. 23.

Virginia (18-4, 4-2 ACC) is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 5 against Duke. Tip-off from John Paul Jones Arena is 7 p.m.
