BALTIMORE, Md. – The Virginia men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have 11 of their incoming recruits named to the Under Armour and Corrigan Sports Enterprises prestigious All-America lacrosse rosters announced this week. Men’s head coach Dom Starsia signed six All-Americans, while women’s head coach Julie Myers signed five. The 11 combined recruits are the most for any school.

For the men, Virginia will be represented evenly on the north and south teams, with three honorees selected to both rosters. A trio of attackmen – Connor English (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset), Nick O’Reilly (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) and Matt White (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) were named to the north team, while midfielder Chris LaPierre (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and defensemen Howie Long (Ivy, Va./St. Anne’s Belfield) and Harry Prevas (Towson, Md./Gilman) represent the south.

For the women, attacker Caroline McTiernan (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) was the lone honoree on the north team, while attacker Kelly Austin (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen’s St. Agnes), goalie Kim Kolarik (Riva, Md./South River) and midfielders Erin Laschinger (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Annie Thomas (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) were named to the south team.

The fourth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place on Saturday, June 27 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.

Throughout the weekend, there will be top-notch lacrosse games and events with the All-America Boys showcase live on ESPNU at 8 p.m. The girls game will face-off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

This year also features an expanded eight region underclassmen event with boys and girls teams from Baltimore, Long Island, New Jersey, Midwest, New England, Philadelphia, Upstate NY and Washington, D.C. The two-day underclassmen tournament (June 27-28) culminates with the girls and boys finals at 3:30 PM on the fields surrounding Unitas Stadium.
