Match Time for NCAA Quarterfinal Moved to Noon (CT)

COLLEGE STATION, Texas The start time for the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal between Virginia and USC has been changed to noon (CT). The start time was moved up one hour due to the forecast of thunderstorms for the area later that afternoon.

The top-seeded Cavaliers (32-0) and the eighth-seeded Trojans (22-5) are meeting in the NCAA quarterfinals for the second time in the last three years. In 2007, Virginia downed USC 4-1 in a quarterfinal matchup in Athens, Ga.

The other quarterfinal matches on Saturday are No. 4 Georgia vs. No. 12 Texas, No. 2 Mississippi vs. No. 7 UCLA, and No. 3 Ohio State vs. No. 6 Baylor. The eight quarterfinalists this season are the same eight teams that reached the quarterfinals last year in Tulsa.
