Charlottesville, VA Three members of the Virginia women’s golf team have been named to Golfweek’s All-America squads. Junior Whitney Neuhauser and sophomore Calle Nielson were tabbed third-team All-Americans and senior Jennie Arseneault was an honorable mention selection.

Earlier this year Neuhauser and Nielson were named honorable mention All-Americans by the National Golf Coaches Association. All three players were selected to the All-ACC team this year.

Nielson was sixth at the NCAA Championships, shooting 1-under par over the final 36 holes of the event. She led or shared the lead in scoring for UVa in six of its final tournaments of the season. Nielson was second on the team in stroke average at 73.52. She was 11th at the NCAA East Regional and was named the ACC’s Golfer of the Month for March.

Neuhauser led UVa with a 73.42 stroke average. She was eighth at the NCAA East Regional and was 54th at the NCAA Championships. She led the team with 11 rounds of par or better.

Arseneault posted a 74.04 stroke average and had five top-10 outings. She was seventh at The Fall Preview and led or shared the lead in scoring for UVa in four tournaments.
