Charlottesville, VA – Incoming Virginia freshman golfer Brittany Altomare (Shrewsbury, Mass.) added another title to her resume this summer by winning a World Junior Golf Series tournament in Germany. She placed first at the Harder German Junior Masters event in Heddesheim. Altomare shot rounds of 71, 72 and 72 to take medalist honors by two shots at 1-under 215.

The World Junior Golf Series, run by the The World Junior Golf Foundation, is designed to showcase the best junior players (ages 12-19) on the world stage through a series of tournaments.

Earlier this summer Altomare competed in the U.S. Women’s Open after winning a sectional qualifier.
