Brightwell Wins Charlottesville Tournament

Charlottesville, VA – Incoming Virginia freshman Elizabeth Brightwell won the 2009 Reines Jewelers Ladies Championship at Meadowcreek Golf Club in Charlottesville on Sunday. She finished at 3-over 143. Brightwell carded a tournament-low 70 during the final round to hold off the rest of the field. She made up a two-shot deficit during the final day of play to overtake Cindy Thompson for the title.
