CHARLOTTESVILLE – The 13th-ranked Virginia men’s soccer team returns to action on Tuesday night when it hosts Liberty at Klöckner Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., and live statistics will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia (7-3, 1-3 ACC) is coming off of a 2-0 victory over Longwood in its last outing (Oct. 7). Against the Lancers, sophomore Chris Agorsor (Severn, Md.) had a goal and an assist to lead the UVa offense. Brian Ownby (Glen Allen, Va.) notched his first start since Sept. 11 after returning from representing the United States in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Suez, Egypt. Ownby’s goal, his first of the year, was the game-winner and was assisted by Agorsor. Hunter Jumper (Plano, Texas) also earned his first point of the year, as he assisted Agorsor’s goal vs. Longwood.

Neil Barlow (Herndon, Va.) and Tony Tchani (Norfolk, Va.) continue to lead the team with three goals apiece. In goal for Virginia, Diego Restrepo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) earned his fourth shutout of the year against Longwood and has an impressive 0.49 goals-against average. That average ranks 11th nationally.

Virginia leads the all-time series with Liberty, 17-0, and the Cavaliers defeated the Flames, 3-0, last season in Charlottesville. Jimmy Simpson (Warrenton, Va.) scored two goals in that contest and Tchani added another.

The Flames (5-2-2, 0-0-2 Big South) are coming off of a 1-0 loss at North Carolina on Oct. 6. Darren Amoo leads the team with seven goals and three assists.

In goal for Liberty, Andrew Madero has started eight games and allowed two goals. As a team, the Flames have allowed just three goals all season. His goals-against average ranks second in the nation (0.22).

Up next, the Cavaliers hit the road for an ACC contest at Virginia Tech Saturday (Oct. 17) night. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Thompson Field.
