CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Virginia women’s tennis team concluded the fall portion of its schedule last weekend at the Kitty Harrison Invitational, hosted by North Carolina. The Cavaliers were one of 11 schools competing in the prestigous tournament.

In singles, the Cavaliers were led by first-year Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.), who posted a perfect 3-0 record on the weekend. In doubles, the Cavaliers had a strong performance, going 9-2 overall. Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) won a pair of matches, including over Duke’s Amanda Granson and Ellah Nze.

The Cavaliers open the spring season in January when they host the UVa Winter Invitational Jan. 16-18 at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. Virginia begins the dual match season the following week when it hosts Illinois and Richmond in a doubleheader on Jan. 24.
