CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia goalkeeper Diego Restrepo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) has been named to TopDrawerSoccer’s National Team of the Week for the week ending Nov. 8, the organization announced.

Restrepo posted his fifth-consecutive shutout on Saturday night in the Cavaliers’ 1-0 victory over No. 18 NC State. Restrepo had three saves in that contest.

For the year, he has allowed just seven goals in 17 games for a goals-against average of 0.40, which leads the Atlantic Coast Conference. His nine shutouts on the year also leads the league.

This is Restrepo’s second honor of the year, as he was named ACC Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 3.

The Cavaliers begin play at the 2009 ACC Tournament on Wednesday as the No. 5 seed. UVa faces fourth-seeded Maryland at noon at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
