• Golf World Mid-Season Honors

Charlottesville, VA – Virginia sophomore golfer Ben Kohles (Cary, N.C.) has been named a Mid-Season All-American by Golf World. He is one of 12 collegiate players to receive the honor and one of just two ACC players to be tabbed for the recognition.

Kohles finished UVa’s fall season with a team-best 70.80 stroke average. He placed in the top-10 in four of five tournaments, including a first-place showing in the season-opening Maryland Intercollegiate. He posted the teams’ best single-round score, 5-under 66, at that event.

Virginia managed to place in the top four of all five tournaments this fall and climbed as high as No. 20 in the college golf polls.

Kohles led the team in scoring in three events and shared UVa’s best score on one other occasion.

Virginia returns to action March 8-9 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.
