Fan Information For Tonight's Virginia-Hampton Men's Basketball Game

CHARLOTTESVILLE—Fans who can travel safely to John Paul Jones Arena and are planning to attend tonight’s Virginia-Hampton men’s basketball game should be aware of the following information.

The parking lots surrounding John Paul Jones Arena, University Hall and the McCue Center are all reserved parking areas.

For tonight’s game there is no fee to park in the Emmet/Ivy parking garage.

The fan shuttle to the arena for tonight’s game will operate from the Emmet/Ivy parking garage rather than from the North Grounds parking area. At the Emmet/Ivy garage the pick-up and drop-off location is the bus stop located outside the garage. At the arena the drop-off and pick-up location will be on the University Hall side of Massie Road rather than its normal location on the arena side of the road. Police will be stationed at that location to assist fans crossing Massie Road. The shuttle begins at 5:30 p.m., 90 minutes prior to the game, and ends one hour after the game.

With the conditions brought about by the recent heavy snowfall, these changes have been instituted for tonight’s game in an effort to make access to the arena as safe and convenient as possible for fans planning to attend.
