ATHENS, Ga. – Members of the Virginia men’s diving team began competition Sunday at the 2010 Georgia Diving Invitational. The event, which runs through Tuesday, is being held at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga.

“It’s an exciting meet because the competition is so strong,” said UVa diving coach Rich MacDonald. “It’s a great indicator to see where we are and what we need to do in order to be ready for ACCs and beyond.”

Sophomore Briggy Imbriglia paced the Cavaliers on the first day of competition with a 14th-place finish on the 3-meter board. He tallied a score of 292.75.
