Platform Diving Concludes Georgia Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – Members of the Virginia men’s diving team concluded competition with the platform event Tuesday at the 2010 Georgia Diving Invitational. The invitational was held at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga.

Sophomore Briggy Imbriglia led the Cavaliers on the final day, earning a 12th-place finish with a score of 244.70. Teammates Kevin Moore (225.90) finished 16th, Alex D’Ambrosio (206.05) 19th and Nathan Parker (158.35) 25th.

“They did pretty well today and overall, I was happy with the way they dove down here,” Virginia diving coach Rich MacDonald said. “There are definitely some things we need to work on and fix going into the tail end of the season, but I was excited with the way they performed at such a competitive meet.”

Virginia is back in action with a home meet Saturday against Tennessee. The men’s meet will start at noon with the women scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
