Sebring, FL – Virginia junior Calle Nielson finished 14th in the Championship Division of the 55th annual Harder Hall Women’s Invitational to lead a large group of Cavaliers at one of the nation’s top amateur events.

Nielson shot 299 and had rounds of 73, 70, 73 and 83 in the tournament that was contested in wet and windy conditions over four days. UVa freshman Nicole Agnello was 16th in the Championship Division at 301 while senior Whitney Neuhauser was two shots behind her in 18th place. Joy Kim also reached the Championship Division but was forced to withdraw during the final round

Former Cavalier Kristen Simpson tied for first in the First Flight Division at 307. UVa senior Carly Truitt was second in Second Flight at 319 and first-year Elizabeth Brightwell was sixth in the same division at 330.

The Cavaliers are set to open the spring portion of their season March 1 at The Challenge at Kinderlou Forest in Valdosta, Ga.
