Virginia's Friday Tennis Match Cancelled, Saturday Wrestling Matches Postponed

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – In anticipation of a major winter storm forecast to hit Charlottesville this weekend, Virginia’s Friday home women’s tennis match against Winthrop has been cancelled. UVa’s wrestling matches with Old Dominion and George Mason, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, have been postponed.

The UVa-Winthrop women’s tennis match will not be made up. The Virginia-Ohio State women’s tennis match, scheduled for noon Sunday, is still on at this time.

Virginia currently is working with Old Dominion and George Mason to find a mutually agreeable makeup date for both wrestling matches.

A decision about the men’s basketball game with Wake Forest, scheduled for noon on Saturday, will not be made until closer to the scheduled time of that event.
