CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced the draw for the 2010 ITA Team Indoor Championships, to be held Feb. 12-15 at the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville. Virginia, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, opens play against No. 15 seed Alabama at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12.

The tournament, which features the top 16 teams in the nation, will be held in Charlottesville for the first time. Virginia is the two-time defending champion and is looking to become the first team to win three consecutive titles since Stanford won the first three tournaments from 1973-76.

The tournament begins Friday, Feb. 12 with eight first round matches: (3) Ohio State vs. (14) Louisville at 9 a.m., (6) Baylor vs. (11) Florida at 9 a.m., (1) USC vs. (16) Fresno State at noon, (8) Texas vs. (9) Stanford at noon, (4) UCLA vs. (13) Kentucky at 3 p.m., (5) Tennessee vs. (12) Illinois at 3 p.m., (2) Virginia vs. (15) Alabama at 6:30 p.m., and (7) Georgia vs. (10) Mississippi at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday will feature four quarterfinal and four consolation draw matches. Sunday will have the two semifinals and six consolation matches and the championship match will be Monday.
