Cavalier Season Football Tickets on Sale to General Public

Charlottesville, VA – Season tickets for the 2010 Virginia football home games are now on sale to all Virginia fans. New this year are two specially priced season ticket options in the upper deck of Scott Stadium’s south end zone. Fans will receive email applications this week and ticket renewal applications in the mail by the end of March.
Season tickets are priced at $270 for the general public and $215 for UVa faculty and staff. Specially priced upper level end zone tickets are available for $175 (sections 518 to 522) for the general public and for $99 (sections 514 and 515) for UVa faculty and staff.
Under first-year coach Mike London, the Cavaliers’ seven-game home schedule included in the season package includes dates with Richmond (Sept. 4), VMI (Sept. 25), Florida State (Oct. 2), North Carolina (Oct. 16), Eastern Michigan (Oct. 23), Miami (Oct. 30) and Maryland (Nov. 13).
“We initiated a program during the men’s basketball season to offer a reduced price ticket for select games in the upper deck of John Paul Jones Arena that proved very popular with our fans,” said UVa Executive Associate Athletics Director Jon Oliver. “We want to provide a similar option to support coach London and his effort to rebuild Cavalier football. We would like our fans to play a role in this process and are pleased to offer this option that makes it easier for some to enjoy Virginia football and to support the program.”
“A big part of rebuilding the Virginia football program is the help and support of our fans,” London said. “Everywhere I have traveled since December our fans have been great and told me, ‘Coach, I’m excited about Virginia football.’ Now is another opportunity for our fans to be a part of our program by purchasing season tickets. It’s so important to have a great home field advantage and our fans can make it loud in there. I really appreciate the effort to have an affordable option in the upper deck for some of the fans. We want all Virginia fans out there to be a part of our football Saturdays and a part of our team.”
Fans can take advantage of a four-month payment plan on season ticket purchases. Any season tickets purchased by April 30 can be paid for in monthly installments that begin May 1 with the last payment scheduled for August 1.
