CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia track and field team will head to Raleigh, N.C., to compete in the Raleigh Relays this weekend. Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., on Friday and conclude with the 4x400m relay at 5 p.m., on Saturday. Live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

The Cavaliers opened their outdoor season last weekend with five competitors winning their respective events. Freshman Pearl Bickersteth won her first-ever collegiate competition in the high jump, clearing 5’ 6”, while graduate transfer Steve Delice won the 100m in 10.85.

In the 200m, sophomore Kevin Anding crossed first in 21.59. Junior Andrew Revelle won his first 3000m steeplechase competition, finishing with a time of 9:30.40, and redshirt freshman Tasia Potasinski won her first outdoor event – an 800m – in 2:12.21.

Virginia will continue preparation for this year’s ACC Championships at Clemson on April 15-17 next weekend, heading to the Colonial Relays in Wiliamsburg, Va.
