Charlottesville, VA – The No. 20 Virginia men’s golf team will compete at NC State’s Wolfpack Intercollegiate this weekend at school’s new par 71, 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course. The tournament will be played on Friday and Saturday, with 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on Saturday. Action begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Friday, and tee times for Saturday are set to begin at 7:30 a.m.



This year’s field features 17 teams, including nine of the 11 ACC schools. Eight of the teams in the field are currently ranked in Golfstat’s top-50. Competing teams include Florida State, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, NC State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Carolina, Maryland, New Orleans, North Carolina, Purdue, UNCW and VCU.

Virginia’s lineup will include Kyle Stough, Will Collins, Amory Davis, Ben Kohles and Steven Rojas. The Cavaliers will be paired with NC State and Purdue during the first day of play.

Virginia is looking to continue its streak of top-five finishes this season. The Cavaliers have finished no lower than fifth in their eight tournaments this year. UVa has registered two second-place finishes and placed third four times this season.

Kohles leads the team with a 70.58 stroke average and has two first-place finishes this season. Stough is coming off his first top-10 showing of the season, placing eighth at the Hootie @ Bulls Bay to lead UVa in scoring.
