Augusta, GA – Former Virginia golfer Steve Marino finished tied for 14th in his first appearance at The Masters. Marino finished at 2-under 286. He had rounds of 71, 73, 69 and 73. As one of the top 16 finishers at the event, Marino meets the criteria to receive an invitation to the 2011 tournament. He qualifed for this year’s event thanks to a top-30 finish in the 2009 FedEx Cup Standings.

The Masters is just the latest strong finish for Marino this year. He placed fourth at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and was fifth at the Northern Trust Open. He placed 11th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and was 14th at the Shell Houston Open. He has made the cut in seven of nine tournaments this year and earned $934,047 on the tour to bring his career earnings to $6.3 million.
