COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior All-American Brittany Kalkstein was named to the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse All-Tournament Team, as announced by the ACC Sunday following the championship game.

Kalkstein led all players with eight goals throughout the tournament and added two assists for a tournament-high 10 points. She also won eight draw controls in Virginia’s two games.

The midfielder leads Virginia this year with 36 goals and sits second in points, with 54. She has broke UVa’s single-season record for draw controls, winning 87 and is second on the team in ground balls (31) and caused turnovers (23).

This marks the third time in four years that Kalkstein has garnered ACC All-Tournament Team honors. A key member of the Cavaliers’ back-to-back ACC Championship teams in 2007 and 2008, Kalkstein was honored on the all-tournament team both of those seasons.

No. 4 Virginia will wrap up its regular season play this week, heading to Chicago, Ill., to face No. 2 Northwestern on Friday at 7 p.m.
