CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia sophomore Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) was one of the 64 players selected for the 2010 NCAA Singles Championship, to be held May 26-31 at the Magill Tennis Center in Athens, Ga. Hardenbergh becomes the first Cavalier selected to the tournament since 2003.

Hardenbergh went 29-16 in singles this season and is currently ranked No. 57 nationally. She was an All-ACC selection this season.

Hardenbergh becomes Virginia’s seventh NCAA Singles Championship participant. She joins Irene Usisken (1987), Jen Callen (1993 and 1994), Alison Cohen (1995 and 1996) and Jennifer Tuchband (2003).

Virginia will host first and second round action of the team tournament May 14-15 at the Snyder Tennis Center. The Cavaliers (14-9) meet Princeton in the first round, with Duke and Long Island also competing in the Charlottesville Regional.
